Vinnytsia cathedral celebrates its patronal feast
Metropolitan Varsonofiy of Vinnytsia and Bar presided over the solemn divine service on the occasion of the patronal feast at the cathedral of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos in Vinnytsia, reports the Vinnytsia Eparchy.
The archpastor was co-served by the secretary of the eparchy Archimandrite Enoch (Torak), the abbot of the Lemeshiv Monastery Archimandrite Mark (Baranovsky), the spiritual father of the eparchy Archpriest Oleksii Melnychuk, the dean of the First city district Archpriest Bohdan Malinovsky, the dean of the Second city district Archpriest Vitaliy Belyavsky, the rector of the cathedral Archpriest Maksym Melnychuk, as well as the clergy of the Vinnytsia Eparchy and guests in holy orders.
During the service, the clergy offered prayerful petitions for peace and the Ukrainian people. After the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, the faithful held a procession around the cathedral. His Grace Varsonofiy congratulated the clergy and faithful on the patronal feast of the cathedral. The archpastor wished everyone the intercession and prayerful protection of the Most Holy Theotokos.
As the UOJ reported, a UOC hierarch led the patronal feast of a persecuted community in Blahodatne.
