The Khmelnytskyi TRC mobilized Hieromonk Viktor (Denisov), a cleric of the Pokrov Vicariate.

On September 28, 2026, officers of the Khmelnytskyi Territorial Recruitment Center (TRC), in gross violation of current law, mobilized Hieromonk Viktor (Denisov) of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church into the Armed Forces of Ukraine on his birthday and name day. The Pokrov Vicariate reported this on its Telegram channel.

At the UN Human Rights Council session, the Metropolitan of Cherkasy called for concrete action to stop violations against the UOC.

The faithful and clergy were urged to intensify their prayers for the health, safety, and God’s protection of the forcibly mobilized clergyman.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that in Kremenchuk, during the mobilization of a cathedral cleric, the TRC sprayed him with gas and damaged his ribs.
