Police were ordered to open pre-trial proceedings against radical David Pshenychnyi for pressuring a UOC lawyer.

According to the document, “in order to properly maintain public order and ensure the safety of citizens, on October 7, 2026, the Pechersk Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv plans to deploy additional police units to the area adjacent to the building of the Sixth Administrative Court of Appeal.”

The UOC lawyer contacted law enforcement over repeated provocations and pressure on the legal team outside the courthouse. In one previous incident, radicals blocked the lawyers inside a coffee shop and directly threatened them over their professional activities. The activists left only after police were called.

As the UOJ previously reported, a lawyer for the Lavra called on believers to show their support ahead of the upcoming court hearing.
