Khust Eparchy honors memory of St. Job of Uholka
A Liturgy is served in Mala Uholka, a birthplace of St. Job of Uholka, on the saint's feast day.
On October 22, 2026, a festive Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the village of Mala Uholka in Ukraine’s Zakarpattia region, in the Khust Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, on the feast day of St. Job of Uholka, reports the eparchy's Telegram channel.
The Liturgy at the Church of St. Job was celebrated by Metropolitan Mark of Khust and Vynohradiv, concelebrated by Metropolitan Ioann of Kherson and Taurida, Archbishop Simeon of Uholka, Bishop Mark of Rakhiv, Bishop Veniamin of Skadovsk, and clergy of the Khust Eparchy.
During the service, prayers were offered for peace in Ukraine and AFU soldiers.
St. Job of Uholka is a great ascetic of the twentieth century who, through his righteous life, humility, and love for God and neighbor, became a spiritual beacon for many generations of believers in Transcarpathia. His life and labor are a reminder of the power of faith, patience, and prayer that lead a person to salvation, which is why his feast day is especially dear to those who draw inspiration from the example of this saint of God.
As the UOJ reported, hundreds of the Khust Eparchy believers honored the memory of St. Alexis of Carpatho-Russia.
