On the feast day of the Holy Martyr Longinus the Centurion, Metropolitan Longin of Bancheny celebrated his name day with prayers at Holy Trinity Cathedral of Bancheny Monastery, according to a Facebook post by believers of the UOC's Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Eparchy.

Several hierarchs of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church joined him for the celebration: Archbishop Lavr of Irpin, Archbishop Mark of Borodianka, Archbishop Siluan of Hertsa, Archbishop Cleopa of Novoselytsia, and Bishop Nikita of Ivano-Frankivsk and Kolomyia. They concelebrated with the monastery's ordained brethren, eparchial clergy, and visiting priests.

During the service, the hierarchs and clergy offered prayers for peace in Ukraine, deliverance from the enemy, and the protection of those who have lost hope or been left homeless. Special prayers were also offered for Metropolitan Longin's spiritual and physical strength.
At the conclusion of the Liturgy, a service of praise was offered to the Holy Martyr Longinus. On behalf of the monastic brotherhood, Archbishop Siluan congratulated Metropolitan Longin on his name day, followed by greetings from the clergy and the many faithful in attendance.
