The brethren of the Kyiv Caves Lavra celebrated festive services in honor of the patronal feast of the church on the territory of the Lower Lavra.
On the day of the commemoration of the Icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow," the brethren of the Kyiv Caves Lavra celebrated the patronal feast of the church on the territory of the Lower Lavra. On the same day, the monastery commemorated the Caves recluses, Venerable Arephas, Sisoes and Theophilus, reports the Lavra website.
On the eve in the evening, the all-night vigil with litia was led by Archimandrite Arephas, together with the Lavra clergy. On the day of the feast itself, the brethren served the Divine Liturgy at the Church of the "Joy of All Who Sorrow" Icon. The monastery clergy also served a late service at the Church of St. Agapitus of the Caves.
During the Liturgies, the brethren and the faithful offered special prayers for peace in Ukraine, deliverance from enemies and adversaries, and also for a blessing upon those who have sheltered displaced persons.
