Ex-deputy: All-Ukrainian Cross Procession – important spiritual event

We shouldn’t underestimate the power of the common prayer. Its phenomenon shows itself in the Cross Procession, and Ukraine needs such a great event in the light of spiritual rebirth. This was stated by Ukrainian politician Vasiliy Horbal during the UOC telemarathon devoted to the All-Ukrainian Cross Procession – 2016.

"Now the country is in need of such kind of grand event from the point of view of spiritual life and spiritual recovery, to the day of the baptism of Kievan Rus because the Cross Procession is a common prayer for peace. We shouldn’t underestimate the power of the common prayer. Its phenomenon shows itself in the Cross Procession," said the political expert.

He noted that the farther from the Church the politicians are, the safer the Cross Procession is. "I am convinced that there will be no provocations and the Cross Procession will have good consequences, including in the settlement of the situation in the East. The Orthodox themselves are high self-organized, and they will not allow any provocations," he concluded.

Recall, the UOC holds weekly telemarathon devoted to the All-Ukrainian Cross Procession – 2016.
