Over ten thousand believers got together at Verkhovna Rada for prayerful standing
Starting from 8 a.m. the clergy led by Metropolitan of Pochayev Vladimir, bishop of Obukhov Iona, Bishop of Irpen Kliment and Bishop of Borodianka Barsanuphius have been holding moleben services to make the Parliamentarians aware of the fact that by adopting resonant draft laws they are sure to trigger an inter-faith war in Ukraine.
By their prayerful standing the faithful demonstrate their rejection of scandalous bill No. 4128 which can legalize “church raiding” and bill No. 4511 called to discredit the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and to establish a state control over its activities.
As it was reported by the UOJ, draft laws ##4129 and 4511 can become not only a pretext to accuse Ukraine of its infringement of religious rights, but also a “trigger” for irreversible decisions able to cross out the statehood of Ukraine as such.
