Over 20 thousand believers join in the Cross Procession from Kamenets-Podolsky to Pochaev (VIDEO)
The procession began after the festive Liturgy from the cathedral of Kamianets-Podilsky. Part of the pilgrims joined the procession in the village of Dolzhok, where Metropolitan of Kamenets-Podolsky and Gorodok Theodore with the clergy served a prayer service, after which the column of believers went further on.
As the UOJ correspondent reports, the time of the passage of the column took more than half an hour.
For many years the procession gathered thousands of pilgrims who would cross the path of 210 kilometers - from Kamenets-Podolsky to Pochaev. Believers of Kamenets-Podolsky, Chernovtsy, Volyn, Odessa and other eparchies of the UOC, as well as pilgrims from abroad, participate in the procession every year. Pilgrims walk in the procession for a week.
Recall, on August 15, believers from the village of Golynchintsi, Shargorod district of Vinnitsa region got together in the procession to the Josaphat Valley. This year nearly 35 thousand believers take part in this cross procession.
