The Public Council of the Ternopil Regional State Administration held the second meeting to discuss the legality of the use of the Pochaiv Lavra by the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, reports the press service of the Ternopil RSA.

According to the secretary of the commission, Volodymyr Voronin, the first meetings will develop "tactics and strategy for the study of the Pochaiv Lavra subject".

"We work exclusively in the legal field. We reject emotions, dissociate ourselves from political issues and focus only on compliance with current legislation. We will study the documents and check whether they meet the legal requirements," he said.

The Regional State Administration also reported that the Ukrainian government has already sent the commission to study the issues related to the lease of the Pochaiv Lavra.

As reported, the Ternopil RSA held a commission to "expel the Moscow Patriarchate" from the Pochaiv Lavra.
