The National Reserve did not provide the court with evidence confirming the conclusions of the commission of the Ministry of Culture on the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. The lawyer of the Lavra, Archpriest Nikita Chekman, stated this in an appeal published on his Telegram channel.
According to him, the reserve does not provide any documents, as it does not want to facilitate a quick consideration of the case. At the same time, Lavra's lawyer noted that the monastery "takes all possible measures to submit all the evidence."
The next hearing on the claim of the monastery was scheduled by the court for June 7, 2023.
“Only conclusions were provided to the court, but there are no documents confirming and accompanying these conclusions. There is a conclusion that the monastery allegedly violated something, but no documents, inspection certificates to confirm this were provided. The plaintiff's side is compelled to independently apply to all the bodies, commissions that were involved in this check in order to receive object-by-object inspection certificates, photographs,” he said.
As reported by the UOJ, the court demanded that the reserve provide justification for terminating the contract with the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
