During the missile strike on the Transfiguration Cathedral of the UOC in Odesa, there were people inside the temple, said the head of the UOC Information Department, Metropolitan Clement, in the commentary to "Strana".

"At night, during the shelling of Odesa by Russian troops, there was a hit directly into the altar part of the Transfiguration Cathedral. At that time, there were people in the cathedral who were doing round-the-clock prayer in it. Fortunately, none of them were injured," the bishop said.

According to him, "miraculously survived the shrines - wonder-working icons and relics which were in the temple". At the same time, the altar along with the holy throne was completely destroyed.

As reported, the UOC cathedral in Odesa was destroyed by a missile strike.
