On February 1, 2025, in Odesa, Archdeacon Andriy Palchuk of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church sang for residents taking shelter in a bomb shelter during an attack.

He performed the Neapolitan song "O Sole Mio" ("My Sun"), earning enthusiastic applause from the listeners. After his performance, the archdeacon shared a personal joy: his son was celebrating his second birthday since miraculously surviving a previous bombardment.

"O Sole Mio" is a famous Neapolitan song written in 1898 by poet Giovanni Capurro and composer Eduardo di Capua. It has become a symbol of Italian musical culture and has been performed by many renowned artists.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that a missile strike destroyed the UOC Cathedral in Odesa.
