Special Representative for Syria Tom Barrack, on behalf of Donald Trump and the American people, expressed condolences to the families of the victims as a result of the terrorist attack on the Orthodox Church of Saint Elias in Damascus.

On the social network X (formerly Twitter), Tom Barrack wrote: "On behalf of
@POTUS and the American people, we would like to express our condolences to the victims, families, and individuals impacted by the terrorist attack today at Mar Elias church in al-Duwaileh."

"These terrible acts of cowardice have no place in the new tapestry of integrated tolerance and inclusion that Syrians are weaving," Barrack wrote.

He noted that the US authorities continue "to support the Syrian government as it fights against those who are seeking to create instability and fear in their country and the broader region".

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that in Syria, terrorists killed 15 people in an Orthodox church.
