On August 28, 2025, the persecuted Dormition community of the UOC in the Bukovynian village of Dubivtsi celebrated their patronal feast in a newly built church, the parish reports to the UOJ.
After the seizure of their native church by "Trident of Bandera" militants in April, the parishioners managed to build a new temple in just 3.5 months. Construction work in the shrine is not yet complete, but the community was already able to hold the patronal feast there.
The new church turned out to be quite spacious. It housed more than 300 worshippers at the festive service.
As reported, on April 1, 2025, OCU raiders backed by militants from "Trident of Bandera" broke into the church territory. Believers say that the thugs were brought from the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
