UOC Social Department provides food packages to 100 displaced families
On September 5, 2026, in Kyiv, the Synodal Department for Social and Humanitarian Affairs of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church provided assistance to 100 internally displaced families. This was reported by the official Telegram channel of the UOC Synodal Department for Social and Humanitarian Affairs.
The families received food packages and essential supplies, including canned meat, cereals, pasta, cooking oil, sugar, tea, and hygiene products.
The UOC Social Department currently has about 2,000 families registered as needing assistance.
Since the beginning of 2026, the department has distributed 2,800 food packages to those in need. Assistance to internally displaced families is provided as part of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church’s ongoing charitable initiatives.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Khmelnytskyi Eparchy raised 50,000 hryvnias for the treatment of a child with cerebral palsy.
