On April 5, 2026, U.S. President Donald Trump delivered an Easter video message to Christians in the United States and around the world, Christian Post reports.

In his address, Trump quoted the Gospel of John – “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, for whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life,” calling those words “beautiful.” He stressed that the Resurrection of Jesus Christ is “the most glorious miracle in all of time.”

The U.S. president said that because of Christ’s sacrifice, “all of us can live every day with hope in God’s promise” adding: “Evil and wickedness will not prevail.” According to him, Christ “displayed true humility,” “demonstrated the meaning of true love,” and “proved that even death itself will not silence those who place their trust in Almighty God.”

A written White House Easter statement says that Christ’s Resurrection “secured the promise of redemption and the hope of eternal life for all who believe in Him as Lord and Savior,” and that “evil and death have been conquered forever through the unmatched power of God’s sacrificial love.”

Trump also underscored the role of faith for the country, saying: “To be a great nation you must have religion, and you must have God,” and added that religiosity is growing in the United States.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that Trump’s spiritual adviser had compared his path to Christ’s earthly path.
