Concelebrating with the Primate were Archbishop Sylvester of Bilohorodka, Archbishop Lavr of Irpin, Archbishop Mark of Borodianka, the clergy of the church complex, and visiting clergy. During the Little Entrance, His Beatitude honored graduates of the Kyiv Theological Seminary – Hierodeacons Sophrony (Myronets) and Iustyn (Ivanashko).
During the service, prayers were offered for peace on Ukrainian soil, deliverance from the enemy, the preservation of those who have lost their homes, and God’s blessing upon all who help the needy. The Primate asked the Lord to show mercy to the Ukrainian people, strengthen the soldiers, free the captives, heal the sick, and sustain those deprived of shelter.
A memorial litany was also served during the Liturgy on the third anniversary of the repose of the church composer and regent of the Kyiv Theological Academy, Archimandrite Roman (Podlubniak). Prayers were also offered for the repose of the souls of the defending soldiers, including the warrior Serhiy, who had been killed the day before.
After the Divine Liturgy, the Primate and clergy performed the rite of glorification of the Most Holy Trinity. At the end of the service, His Beatitude congratulated the faithful on the feast and also congratulated the rector of the Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary, Archbishop Sylvester of Bilohorodka, on his birthday, presenting him with a festal prosphora.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that a Divine Liturgy had been celebrated in Feofania on the anniversary of the UOC Council.
