On June 20, 2026, Head of the President’s Office Kyrylo Budanov announced that Ukraine is beginning construction of the National Memorial Complex of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes – Museum of the Revolution of Dignity. According to the official, the authorities must implement the plan quickly and professionally, as the families of the fallen and all Ukrainian society have been waiting for it “for too long.”
Kyrylo Budanov emphasized the special significance of the future complex for shaping national consciousness. “It will become a worthy space of remembrance for the feat that fundamentally influenced the formation of the modern Ukrainian nation and became an integral part of our national identity. It is this national identity that we are defending today on the battlefield.”
Budanov explained that the memorial should become a “place of strength,” where each next generation will be able to understand the price of freedom. He noted that Volodymyr Zelensky instructed him to implement the project as a priority, since “memory makes Heroes immortal and turns them into the strength of the nation.”
The design of the complex and the corresponding exhibition were officially approved at public hearings attended by architects, experts and the families of the fallen activists.
As the UOJ reported, Budanov spoke about a bill on the Pantheon of Heroes.
