TCC detained the rector of a UOC community in the village of Khutorske
On July 22, employees of the TCC detained the rector of the church in honor of the Iveron-Khutorske Icon of the Mother of God in the village of Khutorske, Dnipropetrovsk region, a cleric of the Kamenska Diocese of the UOC, Archpriest Alexei Bondar, reports "Pershyi Kozatskyi."
The clergyman arrived at the Khmelnytskyi TCC to undergo a military medical commission. Despite the medical documents provided confirming serious illnesses, he was mobilized.
According to Father Alexei, during the first night at the TCC, staff members insulted him after learning that he was a priest of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
Subsequently, the cleric was sent to a military unit in Ternopil region. There, as the priest recounted, he was treated in a benevolent and courteous manner.
The unit's command took into account Father Alexei's state of health and allowed him to gather documents confirming his unsuitability for military service.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that Archimandrite Epiphanius (Rudenko) agreed to transfer to the OCU in exchange for release from the TCC.
