Met. Theodor consecrates new altar in Chynadiievо church in Zakarpattia

Metropolitan Theodor of Mukachevo and Uzhhorod performed the consecration of the new altar and celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos in the village of Chynadiievo, Zakarpattia region, reports the Mukachevo Eparchy.

His Eminence was co-served by clergy of the Mukachevo Eparchy. During the service, the faithful offered special prayers for peace in Ukraine, the end of the war, and the military personnel.

At the conclusion of the Liturgy, the archpastor addressed the clergy and faithful with a sermon. In his homily, the bishop revealed the spiritual meaning of the Gospel reading and called those present to strengthen themselves in faith, prayer, and Christian life.

In closing, Metropolitan Feodor expressed gratitude to the rector of the church, Archpriest Ioan Lukach, as well as to all benefactors and parishioners for their labors, prayers, and sacrificial assistance in the beautification of the shrine.

As the UOJ reported, the altar was consecrated in a new UOC church in the village of Synevyrska Poliana in Zakarpattia.
