On October 13, 2026, more than 1,000 faithful of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) took part in a cross procession to the Holy Protection Convent in the village of Molodiia, Chernivtsi region, a UOJ correspondent reports.
On the eve of the Feast of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos, the pilgrims walked approximately 10 kilometers. Along the way, they prayed to the Mother of God, asking for Her intercession for Ukraine, its soldiers, their families, and the entire Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
Upon arriving at the monastery, the faithful gathered in prayer before the icon of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos. The pilgrims prayed for peace in Ukraine, God's mercy, and blessings upon the Ukrainian people.
The procession united the faithful in prayer and hope for the help of the Most Holy Theotokos. Participants asked Her to protect their homeland, preserve every family, and strengthen all those who seek Her intercession.
As the UOJ previously reported, the icon of the Mother of God “Pantanassa” (Queen of All) and the relics of Prince Volodymyr were welcomed in Kovel.
