Two new UOC monasteries established in Ukraine

The Holy Synod opened a monastery and a nunnery in response to reports from diocesan bishops.
On April 10, 2024, the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church established two new monasteries in Kharkiv and Mukachevo eparchies in response to the reports of diocesan bishopss, reports the Information and Education Department of the UOC.
The first monastery in honor of the icon of the Mother of God "Quick to Hearken" was founded in the village of Babai in Kharkiv diocese. Also, the Synod approved the abbot of this monastery and opened the Holy Trinity Convent in the village of Bukovtsevo.
As reported earlier, on April 10, 2024, the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church elected new bishops for the Kyiv and Odesa dioceses.
