UOC hierarch celebrates night Liturgy at St. Spyridon Cathedral in Corfu
The service was led by the Archbishop of the Odesa Eparchy.
On December 12, 2025, Archbishop Viktor of Artsyz, at the invitation of Metropolitan Nektarios of Kerkyra and with the blessing of Metropolitan Agafangel, led the night Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of St. Spyridon of Trimythous on the island of Corfu, where the relics of the saint rest. This was reported by the press service of the Odesa Eparchy.
Clergy and numerous pilgrims participated in the liturgy.
A special part of the service was the prayers for peace in Ukraine, for the warriors and the people of God.
The Cathedral of St. Spyridon on Corfu annually becomes a center of pilgrimage, especially on the feast day of the saint, who is the patron of the island. St. Spyridon of Trimythous is known as a miracle worker and protector of those in need, and his relics are venerated by believers throughout the Orthodox world.
