UOC Rivne Eparchy churches open warming centers for city residents
At warming centers set up at UOC churches in Rivne, anyone can warm up, have hot tea, and charge their phones.
In January 2026, amid severe frosts and disruptions in electricity supply, churches of the Rivne Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church organized warming centers for residents of the city of Rivne. Assistance is being provided to everyone in need, the Rivne Eparchy of the UOC reports.
At the warming centers, visitors can get warm, drink hot tea, and have a snack with biscuits. If necessary, they are also offered the opportunity to charge mobile phones and other devices using generators installed at the churches.
The warming centers are operating at the following addresses in Rivne:
Holy Dormition Church – 113 Shevchenko Street;
Boris and Gleb Church – 1 Bukovynska Street;
Church of All Saints of Volhynia – 30 Konovalets Street;
St. Panteleimon Church – 7 Korolyova Street;
Sts. Peter and Paul Church – 8 Zheleznodorozhna Street, Basiv Kut neighborhood;
Church of Venerable Amphilochius of Pochaiv – on the grounds of the regional hospital;
Cathedral of the Resurrection – city of Rivne.
The warming centers are open to everyone. Clergy urge city residents not to remain out in the cold and, if necessary, to come to the churches, where they are always ready to offer warmth, words of support, and prayer.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that servicemen had honored a cleric of the Sumy Eparchy of the UOC.
