The rite of tonsure into the great schema at St. Paraskeva Church in Mohyliv-Podilskyi was performed by the secretary of the Vinnytsia Eparchy.

On March 9, 2026, the feast of the First and Second Finding of the Head of St. John the Baptist, a tonsure into the great schema was performed at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. Paraskeva of Serbia in the city of Mohyliv-Podilskyi, according to the press service of the Mohyliv-Podilskyi Eparchy.

With the blessing of Metropolitan Agapit of Mohyliv-Podilskyi and Sharhorod, the rite of tonsure was led by Archimandrite Enoch (Torak), secretary of the Vinnytsia Eparchy.

The newly tonsured schema monk received the name Pimen in honor of Venerable Pimen, the ascetic of the Kyiv Caves.

The spiritual sponsor of Schema-Monk Pimen was Archimandrite Pimen (Matsola), a monk of the Archangel Michael Monastery of the Khust Eparchy.

As the UOJ previously reported, monastic tonsures were recently performed at the Kyiv Theological Academy.
