In the village of Iza, the Divine Liturgy was held on the feast day of the holy ascetic of Transcarpathia.

On March 12, 2026, the Khust Eparchy prayerfully commemorated St. Alexius of Carpathian Rus at the St. Nicholas Monastery in the village of Iza-Karputlash, where the saint's relics rest, as reported by the eparchy's press service.

The Divine Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts was celebrated by Metropolitan Mark of Khust and Vynohradiv, concelebrated by Archbishop Simeon of Uzhhorod, Bishop Benjamin of Skadovsk, and Bishop Mark of Rakhiv.

During the Divine service, prayers were offered for peace and prosperity in Ukraine, for its people and defenders. Pilgrims and the faithful from various districts of Transcarpathia participated in the festive service.

St. Alexius of Carpathian Rus (1877–1947) was a renowned spiritual ascetic and confessor of the faith, a founder of monasteries. His incorrupt relics rest in the St. Nicholas Monastery, one of the spiritual centers of the region. Many faithful testify to healings received through prayers to the saint.

As the UOJ reported, Khust hosted a multi-thousand procession with relics of Gabriel of Białystok.
