In Cherkasy, OCU warns believers against attending UOC churches
Representatives of the OCU published a warning for city residents and indicated the address of their "alternative" parish.
The Cherkasy Eparchy of the OCU has called on local residents to avoid the Church of the Nativity of Christ, which is located in the Southwestern district of the city. The corresponding message was posted by representatives of Epifaniy Dumenko's structure on their Facebook page on Easter eve.
The reason for such a message, according to the OCU, was the fact that the community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church continues to conduct services in the temple. OCU supporters suggested that believers attend the St. Nicholas Church of their structure.
"The Cherkasy Eparchy of the OCU warns its parishioners not to attend the Church of the Nativity of Christ. Currently, supporters of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate conduct their services in this temple."
Representatives of the OCU also published a schedule of their own services and the blessing of Easter cakes, hoping to attract parishioners.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that Yarosh called on the OCU and UGCC to stop celebrating Easter with the RF.
