The head of the OCU discussed with the diplomat Britain's assistance to Ukraine and the role of the Church in wartime conditions.

On April 14, 2026, head of the OCU Epifaniy Dumenko met at his residence with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Great Britain to Ukraine Neil Crompton, reports the OCU press service.

At the meeting, Dumenko discussed with the ambassador the transitions of UOC communities to the OCU and the significance of faith during times of severe trials.

"The Russians attacked, confidently believing they would easily capture our territories, but encountered a spiritually strong nation that has not allowed them to do so for more than four years. Therefore, we are convinced that the Lord will certainly create conditions under which this war will end justly – in favor of Ukraine," said Dumenko.

He presented the ambassador with a kulich (Easter bread), and in return received a package of tea as a gift.

As reported by the UOJ, Dumenko discussed countering hostile influence in the spiritual field with the OP head.
