The head of the UOC-KP signed decrees on the inclusion of clerics from the Czech Republic into the "Czech Vicariate".

On April 16, 2026, the head of UOC-KP Nikodym satisfied requests for admission into his organization from a number of communities from the Czech Republic.

The union, called the "Czech Vicariate" of the UOC-KP, included representatives of Orthodox parishes from Prague, Teplice, Bílina, Most, Duchcov, Děčín, Chomutov, Litoměřice, and Ústí nad Labem.

In their appeals, representatives of the Czech clergy expressed recognition of Nikodym as the "new Patriarch" and declared their desire to remain in "canonical unity" with his structure, citing requests from the Ukrainian diaspora and the need for pastoral care of refugees.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the OCU accused members of UOC-KP of "crimes against canonical order".
