Clergy of Romanian Church serve at patronal feast in Krasnoilsk
The monastery’s patronal feast brought together clergy of two Churches, who in joint prayer asked the Lord for an end to the war.
On June 15, 2026, the UOC Сonvent of the Holy Great Martyr John of Suceava in the village of Krasnoilsk, Chernivtsi region, celebrated its patronal feast. This was reported by the faithful of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Eparchy of the UOC on Facebook.
UOC hierarchs, clergy of the Romanian Orthodox Church, and guests from monasteries in Bukovina and Romania took part in the celebration alongside the abbess of the monastery, Hegumeness Joanna (Grozavu), and the sisterhood.
The Divine Liturgy was led by Metropolitan Serhiy of Ternopil and Kremenets. Concelebrating with him were Metropolitan Feodor of Kamianets-Podilskyi and Horodok and Archbishop Veniamin of Khotyn.
During the Liturgy, the clergy offered special petitions for peace in Ukrainian land and deliverance from the enemy. Participants in the celebration prayed that the Lord would look upon the Ukrainian people, preserve those who are in despair and have lost their homes, and bless people of good will who help those in need.
As the UOJ reported, the persecuted UOC community in Spaske celebrated its patronal feast.
