Outside a court in Kyiv, where the SESS lawsuit against the UOC was being heard, OCU supporters poured an unknown liquid, while UOC believers read Psalm 90.

On July 22, 2026, outside the building of the Sixth Appellate Administrative Court in Kyiv, where the case of the SESS lawsuit against the Kyiv Metropolis of the UOC was being heard, a group of OCU supporters staged a provocative performance, reports "Pershyi Kozatskyi."

David Pshenychnyi, an activist, along with several people in masks bearing the symbols of the organization "Osnova Maibutnoho" ("Foundation of the Future"), approached believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church who had gathered near the court in support of the Kyiv Metropolis.

Pshenychnyi had previously taken part in the attack on the Holy Michael's Cathedral of the UOC in Cherkasy. During the seizure of the church in October 2024, he was recorded inside the cathedral with a pistol in his hands.

The participants of the action walked around the Orthodox Christians carrying a bucket filled with an unknown liquid and poured it on the ground. According to witnesses, their actions parodied the church rite of blessing and were a deliberate attempt to offend the feelings of believers.

Despite what was happening, UOC believers did not engage in conflict with the provocateurs. The Orthodox Christians continued to pray near the court building and read Psalm 90 together.

Earlier, the SPJ reported that in Kremenchuk, OCU activists summoned the TCC to a worship service of a persecuted UOC community.
