UOC believers will walk 25 kilometers from Chernivtsi to the men’s monastery in Kolinkivtsi, praying along the way for fallen Ukrainian soldiers.
On July 27, 2026, on the eve of the feast day of Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Volodymyr, UOC faithful set out from Chernivtsi on a cross procession to the men’s monastery in the village of Kolinkivtsi.
The participants are expected to cover a distance of about 25 kilometers. Along the way, they are praying to the Most Holy Theotokos for Ukraine, Ukrainian defenders, their native region, their loved ones, and the entire Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
Near the Alley of Glory in the village of Ridkivtsi, the pilgrims prayed for fallen Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen. A memorial litiya was served by the rector of the local UOC parish, Mitred Archpriest Mykhailo Rudeichuk.
Along the route, the participants also visited the UOC church in the village of Toporivtsi, where a fire recently broke out. The blaze was extinguished by personnel from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
The cross procession will conclude at the UOC men’s monastery dedicated to Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Volodymyr in the village of Kolinkivtsi.
