The Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God of the UOC in the city of Chyhyryn became a victim of a sequential seizure: on February 21, 2025, an illegal re-registration of the religious community was conducted with false information about its transition to the OCU after a fictitious "parish meeting," and on December 22, 2025, the church was forcibly seized by a group of people in military uniforms who, after breaking the locks and entering the building, established control over the church.
