The Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord, s. Moshny
The Transfiguration Church of the UOC in the village of Moshny (Cherkasy region) became the object of a raider seizure after document forgery and illegal re-registration of the community to the OCU in the spring of 2024. No actual parishioner meeting was held, the protocols were falsified, and the historic church from 1839, which is state-owned and legally used by the UOC community, was attempted to be transferred to another jurisdiction.
On November 16, 2025, after the service, the church was forcibly seized by a group of militants in balaclavas associated with the extremist organization "Bratstvo": parishioners were expelled, property began to be inventoried, and the rector was forced under threats to sign illegal documents. Later, the leader of "Bratstvo," Dmytro Korchynsky, publicly acknowledged his group's involvement in the church seizure, and despite the temporary change of locks by the authorities, the raiders broke them again and occupied the church.
