Participants of the hostilities in Donbass speak in favor of the UOC
"The Ukrainian Orthodox Church is the object through which they seek opportunities to disunite our country, to do everything to separate the Ukrainian people," said Alexander Zaichuk, a colonel, a member of the hostilities in Donbass.
According to him, provoking the conflict of the multi-million flock of the UOC with the parishioners of other faiths, the authorities are creating tensions in the country.
He agrees with the commander of the first company of the 90th separate landing assault battalion of the 81st Airborne Brigade, which in 2014 participated in the battles for Donetsk airport, Sergei Biloshitsky: "I want to express my opinion about inciting conflict against the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. This happens in order to divert people's attention from other pressing problems. We have a lot of pressing problems with the leadership of the country and with the way people live."
This opinion is shared by the other four servicemen who spoke in the video in support of the UOC.
Earlier, a representative of NGO "Society of ATO veterans of Zaporozhye" Oleg Kolomoyets read out the appeal of his organization to the authorities and the people of Ukraine, where he demanded to ban the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
