His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine said that the main goal of his service as the head of the UOC is to improve the spiritual life of priests and laity.

In an interview with the "Academic Chronicle" journal, he said that he sees his position as another monk's obedience.

Spiritual growth, according to the Primate, is achieved with the help of humble prayer, therefore he calls on the priesthood and laity to force themselves to do the feat of prayer.

“We must try to lead our life so that our eyes, our thoughts are always directed to God, then we will see that our whole life is filled with His presence and His all-embracing grace,” concluded His Beatitude.

As reported, the Primate spoke about the danger of virtual communication.
