On October 3, 2023, provocateurs came to the place of prayer standing near the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra to interfere with the prayer of believers of the UOC.

A group of activists with posters and loudspeakers positioned themselves in close proximity to UOC believers who are holding a prayer stand near the walls of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra.

During the akathist, which was read by priests and laity of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the provocateurs shouted: “devils, end the Sabbath.”

They also held posters in their hands with insults against the hierarchy of the UOC, and some of the posters were placed on nearby kiosks. Law enforcement officials did not intervene in the situation.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the Lavra’s lawyer reported to the police for the sixth time about an attempt to disrupt the service.
