The actions of “Miriane” are small and Phanar can see it, one of the curators of the OCU, MP from the “European Solidarity” Party Rostislav Pavlenko, said in an interview with Glavcom, commenting on the last meeting with the head of Phanar.
Asked whether the “Miriane” movement, which has emerged in Ukraine, poses a threat to Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople and whether he is worried about this, Pavlenko said, “We can see that the actions of this organization are not numerous.”
“The Ecumenical Patriarchate sees the difference between appearance and reality, they saw these actions of the laity organization, initiated by the Moscow Patriarchate,” said the MP of Poroshenko party. “In the end, there are questions for law enforcement agencies, because the Church is separated from the state, and the state from the Church, but the security issue is the prerogative of the state. The Ecumenical Patriarch sees no danger about his arrival in Ukraine."
Recall, according to Pavlenko, the recognition of the OCU by World Orthodoxy is an established fact, as evidenced by the communication of the US State Department with Dumenko.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that more than 20,000 believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church came on June 15, 2021 to the Verkhovna Rada and the Office of the President of Ukraine to hand over an appeal in defense of their rights and the Church.
