In Kharkiv region, UOC priest and his family injured in Russian strike

On October 10, as a result of a strike by Russian forces on the village of Cherkaska-Lozova in the Kharkiv region, houses in the private sector were damaged and there were 5 injured people. Among the injured are three minors aged 2, 5, and 15, who are experiencing acute stress reactions, reports Oleh Synehubov, head of the Kharkiv RMA, on his Telegram channel.
One Facebook user revealed that the family of UOC priest Mykola Sumenko was affected. He and his family (wife Tetiana and three children) were in their home when an aerial bomb exploded nearby.
"Father Mykola was severely cut by glass, his wife received minor injuries, the children are okay but in shock; the elder child seems to have a concussion. They survived by a miracle," wrote a friend of the Sumenko family on Facebook.
Another Facebook user, a resident of Cherkaska-Lozova, confirmed: "I think everyone saw the information today on the TG channels about the strike in Cherkaska-Lozova. Guys, the family of our godfather was affected. Father Mykola Sumenko, his wife Tania Sumenko, and their three kids aged 2, 6, and 15 were at home. A missile hit very close. Father Mykola was severely cut by glass, Mother received minor injuries, the children are okay but in shock; the elder child seems to have a concussion. They survived by a miracle. Let’s support the family."
Tetiana Sumenko, the priest's wife, also confirmed the information, stating that their house is uninhabitable after the missile strike, but the children are safe and have received medical assistance.
"We will learn to live on," wrote Matushka Tetiana.
As reported by the UOJ, the Kharkiv Eparchy previously expressed condolences to the victims of the night attack on the city.
