People's deputy from "Holos" Yulia Sirko (also known as Yulia Klymenko) raised the issue of the possibility of repealing law 3894 on UOC ban in the context of potential peace negotiations.

"The law is adopted, and changing it requires votes in parliament. I doubt they will be found," stated the deputy, who was one of the initiators of this law a year ago.

According to Sirko, the topic of religious organizations is regularly raised in the context of conditions for ending the war. However, she assured that changes in religious legislation are allegedly unacceptable for Ukrainian society.

"Just like with territorial concessions, which require changes to the Constitution. These are just utopian 'wants'. Issues of the Russian language and the Church are unacceptable for Ukrainian society, and this could really lead to a revolution," stated Sirko.

According to her, the authorities can informally promise anything, but with the arrival of another government, the situation will change. "If we want peace, we need to look for options, but completely surrendering the position is unacceptable," emphasized the deputy.
