Military anesthesiologist Uliana Kashchii published on her Threads page a dialogue with her father regarding the fate of a UOC priest wounded in the war.

"Dad, can you imagine, a wounded man was brought to me – a priest of the Moscow Patriarchate. He says this is the only true faith," wrote Kashchii. According to her, her father advised her to "finish him off".

The post provoked outrage among readers.

"Since when does a doctor take into account the language/religion/nationality or anything else about a person in need of emergency care who is your patient? Especially in a combat zone. You wanted hype? Instead you got shame, because Ukrainian doctors are not taught that," wrote Natalia Tkachenko.

"‘With people like you, we don’t even need enemies. How are you any different from those who came to take our lives?" Victoria emphasized

"It is very sad that a person with such a level of responsibility as a doctor allows herself to divide people so primitively. UOC priests and thousands of believers are fighting for Ukraine. It is strange to see how a person who deals with human life every day so easily devalues people because of their faith!" wrote Oksana Suprуniuk.

Mobilized UOC priest Roman Babych also responded to the author.

"I am a mobilized UOC clergyman, I was recently wounded and lost my crew along with the commander, it’s very ‘nice’ to read your message,” he wrote.

In response to the criticism, Kashchii assured that the wounded priest she mentioned had received medical care: "This person received the full scope of care that was needed. But I will surprise you – doctors are human beings too. We can think and feel just like other people. So do we provide assistance to everyone who comes to us without exception? Yes."

Previously, the UOJ reported that the son of a priest of the Nizhyn Eparchy was killed at the front.
