On October 10, 2026, employees of the UOC Social Department held another distribution of humanitarian aid to internally displaced persons, as reported on the official Telegram channel of the UOC Synodal Department for Social and Humanitarian Affairs.
On the grounds of the Ascension Church, 100 displaced families received food packages. In total, since the beginning of the year, the Social Department has provided assistance to 3,300 refugee families.
"For our family, the food package became tangible support in a difficult time. After a forced move, we have to start our life anew, and any help is of great importance. I am sincerely grateful to everyone who joins in this good deed, does not remain indifferent to the needs of displaced persons and helps us feel that we are not alone," said a participant in the charity event.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Nizhyn Eparchy launched an aid drive for shelling victims in Pryluky.
