UOC believers hold prayerful procession to protect Chernivtsi cathedral

On October 10, 2026, the UOC faithful held a prayerful procession around the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Chernivtsi for the protection of the shrine, says a post on the epratchy's Facebook page.
The religious procession led by Metropolitan Meletiy followed the all-night vigil. Together with the hierarch, clergy and parishioners of the cathedral walked around the church.
The participants of the procession prayed for the preservation of the shrine and its protection from encroachment and raider seizure. As noted in the report, the parishioners continue to pray for the protection of their church, while processions after the all-night vigil have become a tradition.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that about a thousand pilgrims walked in religious procession to the Seltso monastery.
