Kyiv region authorities ban believers from praying in churches at Easter
Authorities will not cancel curfew at Easter, only clergymen will be allowed in churches.
Kyiv region authorities will not cancel the curfew for the Easter feast, reports the Telegram channel of the Kyiv regional military administration.
Only clergymen will be allowed in churches; services will be broadcast live for the faithful.
"For Easter, on the night of Saturday, April 15 to Sunday, April 16, the curfew in the Kyiv region will remain unchanged – from 00:00 to 5:00. Only clergy can be in churches during this time with restricted access for worshippers," the statement said.
It is also noted that after the curfew ends, people will be able to go to churches.
"However, we draw attention to the need to limit the number of people present in churches and cemeteries during the consecration of Easter baskets and on memorial days," the KRMA wrote and warned to move to the nearest shelter in case of an alarm.
