Family of Kyiv priest abducted by TRC says they have lost contact with him
Relatives of Archpriest Yaroslav Kruhlenko say they have been unable to reach him since he was detained by officers of the TRC and have no information about where he is being held.
On February 26, 2026, relatives of Archpriest Yaroslav Kruhlenko said that since his abduction by TRC officers, they have received no information about his whereabouts and have had no way to contact him. Sources close to the priest’s family reported this.
Earlier, UOJ reported that on February 24, at around 5:00 p.m. in Kyiv, TRC officers detained the rector of the UOC’s St. Alexander Nevsky Church on Poliarna Street near the Leroy Merlin store. He was taken to a TCC office on Yordanska Street, where he was held without the ability to contact his relatives.
Later, the priest was transferred to the Darnytskyi District of the capital. There was no contact with him until midnight. At around 12:00 a.m., he briefly managed to call his wife and said he was expected to be sent to Dnipro overnight.
Since that call, the family says it has had no information about his location or condition. They stress that there have been no further contacts with the priest.
Previously, the UOJ reported that in Nikopol, TRC officers detained the rector of the Holy Trinity Church directly on church grounds.
