UOC parishes abroad hold memorial services on war anniversary

Clergy and faithful of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church abroad prayed on the fourth anniversary of the beginning of the war in Ukraine.

Parishes of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church abroad held prayer and memorial services on the anniversary of the beginning of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine. This is reported by the press service of the DECR UOC.

Prayer services were held from February 21 to 24, 2026 in France, Great Britain, Norway, and Germany.

In Perpignan, the dean of UOC parishes in France, Archpriest Mark Mintenko, conducted a prayer service for peace and a memorial service for fallen soldiers and civilians. According to him, the Church's prayer testifies to love that is stronger than death.

In London, the Protection of the Holy Virgin community of the UOC, together with the Voice for Ukraine project, held a charity concert, with proceeds directed to children affected by the war.

In the city of Mandal, Norway, a memorial prayer service was held with the participation of Archpriest Vladimir Saviysky. The event was attended by representatives of local authorities headed by Mayor Paal Pedersen, who expressed support for the Ukrainian people.

In Bremen, Germany, the rector of the UOC parish, Archpriest Nikolay Poplentianiy, addressed those gathered with words of prayer and comfort.

As the UOJ reported, His Beatitude Onuphry performed a lity for fallen soldiers.
