The Volodymyrets District Court fined Olga Feitser, a believer of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), for a video she posted on Facebook. According to zaxid.net, the court found that her post was aimed at inciting religious enmity.

"As stated in the verdict dated May 27, at the end of March 2024, Olga Feitser shared a video on her Facebook page that contained statements 'aimed at inciting religious enmity, humiliating OCU parishioners, propagating the exclusivity of the UOC, using offensive terms and characteristics regarding the OCU, and promoting hatred in Ukraine between UOC and OCU believers,'" the publication reported.

Journalists also claim that the woman admitted her guilt and expressed remorse in court.

The judge found Olga Feitser guilty under Part 1 of Article 161 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code (intentional actions aimed at inciting national, regional, racial, or religious enmity and hatred) and imposed a fine of 3400 UAH. The decision can be appealed in the appellate court.

As reported by the UOJ, in the Sumy region, a 53-year-old resident of the Konotop district is being prosecuted for reposting and approving texts on social media that "disparage the Orthodox Church of Ukraine".
