An OSCE seminar on interfaith dialogue starts in Lvov
In Lvov, a week-long seminar on the peaceful settlement of religious communities and interfaith dialogue began. The project was initiated by the OSCE Mission to Ukraine, which for more than two years has been monitoring the situation in areas where foci of interdenominational disputes are developing.

According to the UOJ correspondent, the OSCE representatives from different countries of the world invited representatives of the religious communities of the UOC and UOC-KP from Rovno and Ternopol regions to cooperation and discussion. In particular, Rovno eparchy of the UOC is represented by the head of the Department of Inter-confessional Disputes, Archpriest Victor Zemlianoy, human rights activist Ekaterina Ivanyuk and priests from the villages of Ptichya and Badovka, where conflicts around local churches haven’t abated yet.

The program of the seminar includes a review of national legislation on religion and belief, the establishment of interfaith dialogue, practical advice on case law and jurisprudence.

The event will last almost a week, during which time participants will have the opportunity to listen to lectures and advice from specialists from Scotland, Poland, Italy, the United States, discuss and brainstorm in the framework of the given topics.
