Lavra caves to be temporarily closed over Culture Ministry work
Entrance to Lavra caves will be temporarily limited due to the work of the commission of the Ministry of Culture.
On May 18, 2023, the Near Caves of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra will be closed from 9:30 to 11:00, and the Far Caves from 10:30 to 12:00, reports the monastery press service.
The restrictions are related to the work of a commission of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy.
As reported, the head of the State Service for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience, Viktor Yelenskyy, said that the authorities plan to reconstruct the caves of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
